Heddy and Henrietta

My first piece of Kate Spade was a cosmetic bag very similar to the one at bottom.  It was gift from my girlfriends for my sweet sixteen and I was head over heels in love with its chocolate brown and pink polka dots.  These bright new additions (the Heddy and the Henrietta) to Spade’s garden collection make my heart flutter in a similar fashion.  If our clothes are going to be all about florals this season, why not our cosmetic bags too?  With silver bells and cockle shells and pretty maids all in a row…

Oh these are really cute! My first Kate Spade purchase was their bi-color canvas bucket bag from the early 90’s. It was black on the bottom and chocolate brown up top and it tied with choc. brown grosgrain ribbon. I’ll never forget it.

Every season I fall in love with Kate Spade’s new cosmetics bags (and I know the pattern you’re talking about!) and try to convince myself that I need one (because I don’t have enough travel gear yet, right?)! It’s worse because in the States there is a store literally 10minutes from my house!

Anna — You should start a change jar/piggy bank! I have one and every time it fills up I have an extra $100 that I allow myself to splurge on items like this. Just an idea, clearly my finances are very sophisticated : )

Lindsay — I understand completely! Every season it’s an new travel bag I “must have” … sigh!

oh, how kate nails it EVERY. TIME.
and i feel like her style is evolving as my own.
    love love love.
the change jar idea is clearly the ONLY way these are happening for me, but what a great way to spend our spare pennies!

Love my Kate Spade makeup bag – it’s the perfect size and easy to wipe down. But this pattern has me thinking of starting a collection!

Oh my gosh, I *love* these. I am all over the florals – it’s a bit of a problem. The dress I’m wearing today actually has a similar pattern to these bags, only bigger floral… and… I’m wearing it with zebra flats. It’s kind of amazing, if I may say so myself ;)

Love the new layout, by the way!
