Kimia Ferdowsi Kline at Turn Gallery

If you’re in New York this week be sure to swing by Turn Gallery (37 East 1st Street) to see work by Kimia Ferdowsi Kline. The exhibit is titled “Landscapes for the Hungry” and closes this Friday, October 16. I’ve been admiring Kimia’s instagram for some time and am crushed I won’t be able to make the show. The color-loving Brooklyn artist is inspired by stories of her father’s childhood garden in Tehran, “a walled enclosure full of pomegranate trees.” When she’s not painting, Kimia is curating the art collection of Williamsburg’s handsome Wythe Hotel. Let me know if you’re able to catch the exhibit!

Thanks so much for sharing! I can’t make it to the exhibit but always on the lookout for inspiring art! And I am very often at Wythe Hotel, which means I will be paying lot more attention to the art selection there! As always thanks for inspiration.

Thank you for posting the notice about Kimia’s exhibition in NYC and especially all the beautiful images for those of us who are from afar. Kimia is a brilliant, intelligent and highly thoughtful painter with talent to support her ideas. A rare combination I believe.
