Alexander Calder: Performing Sculpture: I have to make it to London’s Tate Modern before this fun exhibit closes on April 3. Calder is one of my favorite artists and his whimsical pieces always delight in person.
The First Monday in May: Fashion lovers will enjoy this new documentary about the making of the Met Gala. The film was given the honor of opening the Tribeca Film Festival on April 13th. Watch the trailer here.
Frida Kahlo: Fashion as the Art of Being: This colorful new book by luxury publisher Assouline celebrates the style of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. If the pages are half as lovely as the cover, I’ll be coveting a copy (who am I kidding? I already am…). Available for pre-order here.
Nothing Left Unsaid: This upcoming HBO documentary features style icon and heiress Gloria Vanderbilt (above) and her son, journalist Anderson Cooper. The famously wealthy family has endured much heartache. I loved this book about Gloria and look forward to hearing the candid conversations between mother and son.
War and Peace: The BBC just finished airing their six-episode adaption of the Tolstoy classic and I’m so sad to have missed it. Actress Lily James (Lady Rose on Downton Abbey) stars alongside the handsome James Norton. I can’t wait to watch in online once we are settled in Copenhagen this weekend! Watch the trailer here.
Cuyana Spring 2016: Beloved fashion label Cuyana has begun revealed their new spring collection and this chic saddle bag is at the top of my wish list (it’s also available in a yummy taupe-y camel hue). Explore all their new arrivals here.
I hope you are enjoying this new “On My Radar” series and that everyone’s week is off to a good start! I’m still in packing hell, but the excitement of Copenhagen makes it bearable. Will be back later today with “The Daily Hunt”! xx Katie
