A reader (thanks Natalie!) wrote tipping me off to this stunning Moroccan home published in the September issue of the Wall Street Journal magazine and I’m so pleased she did. I enjoyed my winter trip to Marrakech so much that I’ve already booked a return trip this December. Photographed by the brilliant Stephen Kent Johnson (love his work), the Palais de la Zahia is the private retreat of famed French philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy and his wife, actress Arielle Dombasle. The couple purchased the historic riad in 1998 before embarking on restorations and an expansion. Located in the bustling Marrakech medina, the property now boasts multiple courtyards, a swimming pool, and a roof terrace with a magical view of the city. Talk about living the dream. Below, explore more of the dreamy Moroccan oasis and read the full story at WSJ.com.
