Of all the stylish girls out there Michelle Williams is undoubtedly my ultimate style icon. I just adore her tomboy chic look — she somehow manages to stun in Chanel Haute Couture on the red carpet yet pull off an effortlessly chic look of messy locks, wayfarers, and military jackets on the streets of New York. I too favor tomboy chic looks by day and classic, girlish frocks by night. Which celebrity has style most similar to your own? I want to hear it!
I love stumbling upon an Etsy shop that is beautifully curated and styled. Such is the case with Switzerland’s Maison Paulette. I’m seriously coveting the gouache collage piece above – isn’t it lovely in its simplicity?
I’ve long loved the simple yet scrumptious styling on the J.Crew site and these three looks jumped off the “page.” Though I’m usually not much of a shorts girl, the gingham pair is pretty darn cute. Summertime, you can’t come soon enough…
I just stumbled across these darling photos of my dear friend (and Matchbook illustrator!) Katie Evans. Seriously though, how cute is she?! I adore her quirky bracelets and gold heels — such style. I still remember how starstruck Jane, Fallon and I were the first time we met her (we’d long admired her work for Kate Spade). Katie’s so talented yet humble – a Matchbook girl through and through!
Sorry for the radio silence, loves – New York has been quite the whirlwind! I’m headed home tomorrow night though and promise to blog up a storm this week. Speaking of which, how darling is this set of bowed goodies from Kate Spade? I spotted them at the Fifth Avenue boutique this week and think I must invest.
Matchbook’s third issue is officially live. Is it just me or is it hard to believe our site’s only been around for 9 weeks?! Talk about a whirlwind. Hope you enjoy. Thank you SO much for your support :) xx Katie
